Terms of service

AWTRIX Flows is a free place to share automations for AWTRIX pixel displays. It is operated by Stephan Mühl Softwareentwicklung (see the legal notice). By using the site you accept these terms.

1. What the service is

You can browse and download flows without giving us anything, and you can publish your own without creating an account. The service is provided free of charge and without any claim to availability. We may change or discontinue it, and we may remove content — sections 5 and 6 explain when.

There are no user accounts. When you publish a flow you receive a secret edit link. Whoever holds that link can change or delete the flow, so keep it to yourself. We cannot restore a lost link, because we store only a hash of it.

2. What you may not upload

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, do not upload it and ask us first. Automated or bulk submissions are not permitted; submissions are rate limited.

3. Your responsibility for what you publish

By publishing you confirm that you created the content or are otherwise entitled to share it, and that doing so infringes nobody else's rights. You remain responsible for your content. Flows are third-party content for us within the meaning of §§ 7–10 DDG; we do not review them before publication.

4. The rights you grant us

So that we can actually run the site, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

You keep the copyright in your content. If you delete your flow, this licence ends for the future. Copies that other people have already downloaded, and entries in the public GitHub repository's history, cannot be recalled — please keep that in mind before publishing.

5. Using content from this site

Flows published here are made available so that other people can use them on their own displays. Unless the individual flow says otherwise:

Use is at your own risk. A flow is a configuration written by a stranger; read it before you run it, especially if it contains credentials or calls external services.

6. Reporting content — notice and action

Anyone can report content they consider unlawful or in breach of these terms, using the reporting form. This is our notice and action mechanism pursuant to Art. 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act). Reports may also be sent to flows@blueforcer.de, which is also our contact point under Art. 11 and 12 DSA.

A useful report tells us:

We look at reports without undue delay and decide on the basis of these terms and the applicable law. We may leave the content untouched, hide it, or delete it. If you gave us contact details, we will tell you what we decided and why.

Because there are no accounts here and we deliberately store no e-mail addresses of submitters, we usually cannot inform the person who published a flow about a decision — that is a consequence of a service designed to require no personal data. Where a submitter is reachable, we give them the reasons for the decision in line with Art. 17 DSA.

Reports that are manifestly unfounded and submitted repeatedly may be disregarded.

7. Availability and liability

We run this site with care, but it is offered as it is. We do not guarantee that it is available, that flows work, or that stored files remain intact. Whether backups exist and can be restored is at our discretion.

We are liable without limitation for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. We are also liable where we culpably breach an essential contractual obligation, but in that case only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of agreement. Any further liability is excluded. This does not affect liability under mandatory statutory provisions.

If a third party asserts claims against us because of content you published, you will indemnify us against those claims and the necessary costs of legal defence, unless you are not at fault.

8. Applicable law

German law applies. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not affect the protection afforded to you by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

9. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms when the service changes or the law requires it. The date below tells you which version you are reading. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the amended terms; if you do not, please stop using the service and delete your flows.

10. Severability

If a provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
